TDS has an immediate opening for a Sales Representative in Contoocook, New Hampshire.
The Account Representative- Direct Sales is responsible for growing TDS revenues by acquiring new customers and selling new products to our existing customers. The consumer account representative meets with potential customers to educate them on the features and benefits of TDS' voice, data, and video products and determines the appropriate solutions to fit their needs through a consultative sales approach. Customer contacts are made either through cold calling on customer homes, phone calls to existing customers, or through appointments, customer referrals, and sales leads.
Our Account Representatives earn a base salary, monthly bonuses and UNCAPPED Commissions. Total yearly income at goal is $52,000 per year. We also offer a full benefits package, paid time off, cell phone allowance, TDS apparel and more.
Contact cold and warm prospect customers through in-person contacts, networking, and referrals to educate them on voice, data, and television services in territory provided by TDS.
Make sales calls to determine customer need, gain information, and sell TDS services to prospective customers in order to achieve a weekly sales quota.
Prepare documentation of sales orders received from customers and remit to supervisor on a daily basis. This includes sales orders and agreements, third party verifications, and sales reports in a manner consistent with manager specifications.
Manage the customer account from the sale through installation. Perform telephone follow-ups on each sale after it is installed to ensure customer satisfaction after the sale.
Set up and attend community events that will allow for sales opportunities
Maintain technical knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to achieve success in position. Maintain proper appearance and professional attitude at all times to represent TDS positively in the community.
Attend and participate in sales meetings and training as established by management.
Required Qualifications
1
year sales or customer service experience
Must have a valid driver's license, insurance and have access to reliable transportation
Other Qualifications
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Computer literate with familiarity of in-home electronics, computers, and high-speed Internet preferred
Must be enthusiastic, persuasive, persistent, and have the ability to handle rejection in the selling process well
Must be a good listener and have superior people skills. Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service in a calm, professional manner
Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and be a self-starter
Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with customers to educate them on cable, voice, and data services
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and customer information
Ability to deal with public in a professional manner
Must be able to pass local community background checks and permitting processes
